Blossoms

BLOSSOMS
See a dark tree in your eyes
lonesome whispers, no more signs there
lost am I and lost my mind
door is closing, I should find you
and I thought I never will
be inside a raving stillness so unkind.
Thinking shadows blinking stars,
where could I have lost my heart, love
beats are shattered, steps unground
leaving all of me behind you
and I thought I’ll never find
such a darkness in my mind again today.
Cherry blossoms silent trees,
warming bodies see me bleeding
and I see you step inside
slowly moving me to find again some
pieces of my heart
pieces of my mind
pieces of my love
for you.

Down on My Uppers

DOWN ON MY UPPERS
He's walking down his Sunday streets,
he walks alone so he can keep
a thought of her, a thought to seam the sea.
He lost his head he lost his heart
spirits found, so that´s a start
keeps holding back his double binding tears.
He won't cry, he won't die.
He is down on his uppers
down on the ground
chasing for cover again
down on his uppers
that's where he found
parts of his shattering self.
Has she read the news today
she couldn't mind she couldn't say,
in front of her the roads are darker now.
So, what is left from walking fast
from jumping high from shaking past
others’ needs, as ever keen to show.
She won't cry, she won't die.
She is down on her uppers
down on the ground
chasing for cover again
She is down on her uppers
that's where she found
parts of her shattering self.
And now they have no more to spend
you will agree from where you stand
they lost their life, they lost their pride today.
It's what we do to come back from
a dark so deep a cold as strong
they walk the streets they're holding on to stay.
They won´t choose, they won't lose
They are down on their uppers
down on the ground,
chasing for cover again
if you´re down on your uppers
down on the ground
chasing for cover again
we are down on our uppers,
down on the ground
we will find cover again
today.

Mirror Mirror

MIRROR MIRROR
Greens and blues inside
that l try to hide.
I will stay undone
fear is moving on.
And I see you
when you're close and closer to me
and I try to feel you
when you're here beside me
mirror, mirror, be my
mirror, mirror.
Move into my light
that is here to fight
things out of the past
are not here to last.
And you see the water
rising up unbound
you will drown in silver darkness
where you’re never ever found
mirror, mirror, be my
mirror, mirror
I won´t see you
you´re just here
cold and empty is
how you feel.
Walking by my side
feel the warmth that hides
hold on to my hand
you will understand,
that you feel me drift away
to never be seen
I won't keep you here
where you have never ever, ever been
mirror, mirror you´ll be my,
mirror, mirror, be my,
mirror, mirror, forever my
mirror, mirror, be mine.

Little Lines

LITTLE LINES
Seeing the spaces
between the lines beneath your eyes
winding up traces
whitewashed hills, open skies
and you won't see me standing there
so I must believe still believe
looking down to you.
Lying down on the ground
of greens and browns, frightening sounds.
Stashed-up haze in your way
losing sight longing for
the storm to come into my arms
to let me down, to make me come
from here to you.
And I´ll see you tonight, just tonight
just to lose you again and again.
Distant sight has arrived
staying low, moving slow
wishful lies choosing white
waiting for the turn to grow
and I will never be again
above your waves, some fewer days
I'll lose to you.

Forsaken in the Sky

FORSAKEN IN THE SKY
Since I have lost you
to a brighter day
owls keep on calling
might want to stay.
Seek what you're after
if it's far from here
and don't remember
songs we used to hear.
I need you more than ever
while I see you fade away
to be lost come back never
be forsaken in the sky.
You think of shadows
that you take for truths
cast these rags on me
you’ll always lose.
I need you more than ever
while I see you fade away
to be lost come back never
be forsaken in the sky.

Two Flowers

TWO FLOWERS
Stepping over branches
breaches under leaves
I have heard the sizzles
that I cannot see.
Falling out of shadows
meadows deep and wide
thinking of two flowers
that I left behind,
far behind.
What am I to hope for
silence of the trees
willows should be hidings
distant laughter sings
working in the garden
not to think of you
minding all the colors
they are new and true.
Colors of dawnings, colors so bright
colors are fading, colors to light.
Summer comes in hazy
sun is setting high
taller are these shadows
that will proudly rise
running out of water
clearer clean and kind
I`ll have two flowers
Flowers so gentle, flowers so sweet
flowers to care for, flowers to keep.
coming to my mind
to my mind.

Crossroads

CROSSROADS
Overheard a couple of warnings
that could hope to suddenly dawn on me
when I left for the crossroads
of your mind.
Didn't set out to possess you
So the world couldn't care less
To see me standing by the crossroads
of your mind.
And the rain, it is wishing me well
making signs on the streets that could tell me
to leave or to stay
to get lost all the way
by your side, by your side.
Didn't think it could be lasting
would be some kind of common exhaustion
when I fell asleep at the crossroads
of your mind.
Walk by your house I am not minding
all the love we had been finding
when I lost my way at the crossroads
of your mind.
And the sun it is gone and it hides
keeping hints of the sweetness aside
that I know do me well
when the time it will tell me to leave
I would leave.
Driving by seeing the darkness
it is safe however lost I am
still standing at the crossroads
of your mind.
Clinging to heaps of shadows
that will show all of your sorrows
they keep me down at the crossroads
of your mind.
I´m down as the lights keep changing
they´are changing so the people are leaving
they´re leaving and I keep on waiting
at the crossroads of your mind.

My Love

MY LOVE
Cold winter evening
knocking at my door
didn't see it coming
wasn't waiting for
my love
Snow falls in April
whitening out my street
the house that I live in
where I cannot keep
my love
Pollywogs are swirling
in my daughter's hands
I could never leave them
to their dried out land
my love
Autumn trains would keep me
counting other times
going `round in circles
where I cannot find
my love
Dark nights are fleeting
leaving me to see
the world that you live in
where I´ll never be
your love
my love.

`Carolina Lee’s lo-fi melodic folk-pop has hints of Karen Dalton and Syd Barrett, their harmonic structures and spacious
arrangements leaning at times toward the psychedelic as they shift from dream to clarity and back again.´
